Meet the Team.

Erik Reyna

President, BA

Erik initially joined VLH in February 2017 as a temporary employee during tax season. Over time, his role transitioned to a permanent position, specializing in bookkeeping for our condo association clients, alongside managing other bookkeeping and payroll accounts. With the recent completion of his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, majoring in accounting, Erik’s expertise has further solidified. In 2021, he became a part owner and served as Vice President, assuming the role of President in 2022. A longtime Juneau resident, Erik pursued higher education at UAS of Fairbanks after high school, exploring diverse fields including Fire Science & Homeland Security/Emergency Management. Describing himself as a versatile individual, Erik enjoys staying active and indulging in his passion for sports.

Vickie Hutton

Vice President, EA

Vickie Hutton joined Hauber & James Tax & Financial Services in 2001, later becoming Vice President & Treasurer in 2006. By January 2009, she purchased the corporation, transforming it into VL Hutton Ltd, where she serves as President & sole owner. With over 30 years of bookkeeping and 20+ years of tax preparation experience, she specializes in small business bookkeeping, payroll, certified payroll, and various tax returns including partnerships, sole proprietors, individuals, and S-corporations. Vickie is also an IRS Enrolled Agent since April 2014, prioritizing customer service by personally meeting with clients to understand their needs. She is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals. In 2021, Erik assumed the role of President, continuing the legacy of quality service.

Melissa Jensen

Melissa became a valued member of our team in December 2021. Her responsibilities include processing payroll, managing bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients, and assisting with tax return preparation. Currently pursuing a degree in Business with a focus in Accounting, Melissa also serves as our front office manager, handling general inquiries, scheduling, and record-keeping. Outside of work, she finds joy in indulging in video games, cooking, baking, and exploring the world of science fiction.

The Greeter

Maxie, Vickie’s beloved terrier mix dog, brightens our office with her infectious love for people. Occasionally gracing us with her presence, she warmly greets everyone who enters, spreading joy and wagging tails throughout the day.
